Resources for College of Osteopathic Medicine Course Directors

Medical Library

The Medical Library provides biomedical information and services to support education, research, patient care, and community outreach. Our campus has one of the best biomedical libraries in Oklahoma, with 3,300 print books, 4,600 electronic books, and 7,000 electronic journals.

We have a shared goal of reducing the cost of medical education and Library staff are here to assist Course Directors to identify relevant textbooks from existing electronic book packages (see below). The Library provides access to all textbooks for all CHS and CN degree programs, and additional books and resources can be obtained when requested. See the OSU-CHS Course Catalog for the books listed for your course.

Less well-known Library services include free scientific poster printing, research database training, management of the eight-station Testing Center, the Pure research profile system, and the REDCap research survey system. The IT Help Desk service point is also located in the Library. The Library provides a quiet study environment and is open 115 hours per week. It has eight group study rooms and 166 study carrels. There are an additional 57 study carrels in Tandy, 15 in Barson, and 30 in Forensics.
